Terms and conditions
Conditions governing access to and use of TipMe. By using the site and making a contribution, you accept them.
Last updated: 13 August 2026
1. Purpose and nature of the service
TipMe is a humorous social experiment that allows voluntary financial contributions («tips») without receiving any good, service, reward, consideration or future promise in return.
It is not a reward-based crowdfunding campaign, nor an investment, nor a fundraiser for charitable purposes, unless expressly stated.
2. User capacity
You must be over 18 and the legitimate holder (or authorised user) of the payment method used. By making a contribution you declare that you meet both requirements.
3. Payments
Payments are processed entirely through Stripe. Amounts are shown in euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes where relevant. The minimum amount is €1 and the maximum €1,000 per transaction.
We do not store card data. The charge will appear on your statement under the payment processor's descriptor.
4. Refunds and right of withdrawal
Since the contribution is a voluntary donation with nothing in return, the right of withdrawal provided for consumer contracts for goods or services does not apply.
However, if an obvious error occurs (duplicate amount, unauthorised charge or technical failure), you can request a refund by writing to hola@tipme.app within 14 calendar days of the charge, and we will review it in good faith.
5. Message wall rules
By publishing a name and a message you accept that they will be publicly visible. The following is prohibited:
- Insults, threats, harassment, hate or discrimination.
- Personal data of third parties or confidential information.
- Sexually explicit, violent or illegal content.
- Advertising, spam, malicious links or impersonation.
We reserve the right to moderate, edit or hide any message that breaches these rules, without this giving rise to any refund.
6. Licence over published content
By sending a message you grant a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display it on the site. You retain ownership and may request its removal at any time.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep the service continuously available, but we do not guarantee the absence of interruptions, errors or maintenance work. We may modify or end the experiment at any time.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or loss of data arising from use of the site. Nothing herein excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded towards consumers.
9. Taxation
Each user is responsible for the tax implications the contribution may have in their jurisdiction. Contributions do not generate a deductible donation certificate.
10. Changes
We may update these conditions. The version applicable to each contribution is the one published at the time it is made.
11. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These conditions are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of the consumer's domicile where consumer regulations so require; otherwise, to those of the Controller's domicile.
